Welcome to my Website

DSC_2903-smallAs Data Curation Librarian at University of Tennessee Libraries, I plan and organize data management and curation services to help campus researchers better manage their research data.

This site is a place where I can reflect on what I have learned through my work, how it has contributed to my growth, and how it fits into the bigger picture of my career.

IMLS_Logo_2c.previewI have a 9-year background as a civil engineer before entering graduate school to study library and information science with an emphasis in data curation, which I did at the University of Tennessee School of Information Sciences. As part of my studies at UTK, I was a graduate research assistant in the Data Curation Education in Research Centers project. In this project, I was trained in scientific data curation best practices through classroom learning and on-the-job training at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to complete internships at the University of Tennessee Library and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Distributed Active Archive Center.
