I am a graduate of the School of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee (UTK). I am studied library and information science with an emphasis in data curation and graduated in May, 2013. On this site, I will place information and products that demonstrate learning and showcase skills. It’s also a place where I can reflect on what I have learned, how it has contributed to my growth, and how it fits into the bigger picture of my career.
As part of my studies at UTK, I was a graduate research assistant in the Data Curation Education in Research Centers project. In this project, I was trained in scientific data curation best practices through classroom learning and on-the-job training at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to complete internships at the University of Tennessee Library and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Distributed Active Archive Center.
